Restoring our relationship with the living world through water - the element that connects us - is Watertrek's reason for being. The association works to protect water and aquatic ecosystems threatened by plastic pollution, climate change and chemical contaminants. By creating experiences where outdoor adventure (stand-up paddleboarding and hiking), citizen science (data collection) and collaborative art come together, Watertrek encourages everyone to deepen their perspective, get involved and care.

For more than ten years, Watertrek has brought together people exploring new ways of taking action, designing cartographic ecoadventures (SUP expeditions) and imagining cultural ecology projects (films, exhibitions, performances and books). The association pools its experience, tools and network to support initiatives from the first idea through to completion, while helping anyone who wishes to develop their own local project.

Watertrek builds unexpected bridges across disciplines and communities, driven by a genuine commitment to inclusion, connection, and collaboration. We support every initiative that encourages the Norway's Allemannsretten, which guarantees everyone the freedom to enjoy natural spaces responsibly.
